Forest Honey in Soap: Nature's Liquid Gold for Your Skin.
Share
Honey is one of humanity's oldest remedies. In a handcrafted natural soap, it brings all its properties – and you can feel it.
What is forest honey?
Forest honey is not blossom honey – it does not come from flower nectar, but from honeydew: excretions from aphids and other insects, collected by bees. That sounds less romantic than it is – forest honey has a more intense, spicier taste than blossom honey and contains more minerals and enzymes.
In our manufactory, we use regional Tyrolean forest honey – directly from Austrian forests.
What does forest honey do in soap?
✦ Natural moisturizer – Honey is hygroscopic, drawing moisture from the air and retaining it in the skin
✦ Antibacterial – Honey inhibits the growth of skin-damaging bacteria
✦ Gentle natural exfoliant – Fruit acids in honey gently remove dead skin cells
✦ Nourishing – rich in enzymes, amino acids, and trace elements
✦ Soothing – anti-inflammatory for irritated skin
Why forest honey and lemon go so well together
Our Forest Honey & Lemon soap is one of our most popular combinations. Forest honey intensely nourishes and cares, while lemon oil invigorates and clarifies – a balance of freshness and deep care that works morning and evening.
